Natasha Taylor
Learning Support Teacher/Social Studies/Student Council/Counsellor
Welcome! I am pleased to be a member of the Monsignor McCoy High School staff since 2004. As a proud McCoy alumni, I feel a sense of community and family as I walk the halls of our school. I completed my post-secondary education, at the University of Calgary (B.Ed.) in 1999 and furthered my education in 2006 with a Master's of Education degree specializing in Disabilities Studies. I have held previous teaching assignments with Calgary Catholic School Division supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs. Currently, I have the opportunity to be a learning support teacher, academic counselor and teacher in social studies. This allows me to work collaboratively with staff, students, families and community agencies to create a successful learning environment for all.
For the past several years I have been fortunate to help facilitate the Student Council. The goal of the Student Council is to help foster school spirit, leadership, while supporting numerous social justice projects. Each month the Student Council develops activities and fundraisers to support initiatives in social justice.
When you can not find me at school, most likely you will see me with my family. My husband and I have been blessed with two daughters that attend MHCBE schools. You may also recognize me from church at Holy Family or St. Patrick's Parish. For several years I have been involved with Confirmation Preparation classes and Eucharistic Ministry.
